I live in Manhattan with my son, husband and dog. I got my start in accounting, and later went into a second career as an automation tester. Read more about that in my blog post.
Right now I am unemployed and looking for work. I recently finished up working for Formsort, helping to transform how forms are built. The role was a return to a small startup for me and lots of fun. I realized quickly that I learned more in my previous job than I thought. I worked on the quality and reliability of their product, and was able to use my past experience to help the team with this.
Previously I spent quite a few years working for Better.com. They are somewhat infamous for their layoffs, but I have to say my experience there was formative to my career. For most of my time at Better, I headed up the technical test team. That team's primary focus was to think about what will improve the quality of the product, while also maintaining developer productivity. In later years, I started a formal Site Reliability team (we always had this informally), and also inherited an existing Product Support team. Managing three teams kept me very busy, but the work was fun and challenging.
In my spare time, I love to read a mix of fiction and non-fiction. I also like to learn more about technical topics and pick up new skills. I enjoy spending time with my son who is obsessed with Minecraft right now. I also really like cycling and skiing.
